Attacking midfielder Alexander Lyng celebrated his 15th birthday on Tuesday with his signature on a contract with FC Helsingør. The academy product has spent the last 18 months in Blue and White, and now has extended his stay into the future.

“I am excited to stay with FCH, it’s a good club,” Lyng said. “We have good training facilities and coaching, and I have a good time with my team-mates and some really quality coaches. It’s a club where I can develop and get better.

“Alexander is a player with great potential, so it was obvious that he was one of the ones we wanted to secure for the future,” Head of youth management Kenneth Rasmussen said. “He is a player who is a natural on the ball. He is technically skilled, and is not afraid to take on defenders. From his position in the middle of the attack, he can set up attacks, but is also capable of finishing them himself.

“Alexander has really developed with us, and shows more and more responsibility and maturity in relation to his football. If he continues his positive development, and manages to combine hard work and a humble approach to things, he may well go far with his football.”

Alexander Lyng plays daily on FC Helsingor’s U17 team.
