Sporting director Matt Barnes sees great prospects in the young American:
– Jeremy fits perfectly into the player profile we imagined bringing in from the USA when we started at the club. He is young, but physically strong, and a really good mix of height, strength and pace. He is a good finisher who can both play with his back to goal as a “target man,” able to receive the ball and hold it up, but he can also play in a two-man attack with a faster, more mobile player alongside him.

– He has been training here in Helsingør for some time and has impressed us, both with his ability as a finisher and his ability to create space for himself in the opponent’s defense. He was involved in the training match against Horsens, where he created a couple of good chances, and with a bit of luck could have scored. In addition, he has a large work rate and also contributes quite a lot in defensive play.

– Jeremy is not a player who has been brought in to the starting-11 eleven in the first instance, but he will be part of the first-team squad and learn from them. One of the thoughts behind bringing in an experienced player like Jeppe Kjær was, among other things, that he should pass on knowledge to players like Jeremy, and show him what it takes to make it in Danish football. We are very much looking forward to seeing Jeremy unfold his potential in the FCH shirt.

Jeremy Rafanello has initially signed a 2-year contract and is joining FC Helsingør as of today.
