U19 – FCH-Viborg FF
1-1
U19 hosted Viborg FF in the U19 Division this weekend. The match had barely started before Viborg took the lead from a corner kick, where it was more the Helsingør side that was in a generous mood than anything else. However, the goal was quickly shaken off, and the Helsingør players equalized shortly after to 1-1 with a well-worked goal. The rest of the first half belonged to FC Helsingør, who dominated possession and created plenty of chances. The second half was more evenly matched than the first. Still, FC Helsingør had a clear edge in play and chances. However, the ball would not go in despite several good attempts, and the match therefore ended 1-1.

U17 – FCH-Viborg FF
1-8
After 7 months unbeaten at home, FC Helsingør hosted Viborg.
It started as a very even match, but unfortunately it turned out that Viborg had the luck of a top team, and that their finishing certainly was not lacking. So FC Helsingør unfortunately had to suffer a defeat by 1-8. The coaching staff and the team must simply acknowledge that Viborg were better on the day and that despite good results recently, we still have work to do.

U14 – Næstved-FCH
1-2
After last week’s victory, FC Helsingør U14 had to try to repeat the success in the difficult away match on Sunday against Næstved. The weather was good, however with a very strong wind along the pitch. FC Helsingør started against the wind, and the boys knew that it was about not falling behind before halftime if they were to get anything from the match. The first half became more of a battle than a well-played football match. FC Helsingør had a very big chance, which Næstved’s goalkeeper saved brilliantly. The half ended 0-0. At halftime, a few substitutions were made and the attacking play was tactically changed. FC Helsingør came out poorly after the break and were pushed back, but were dangerous on the counterattack. Næstved used the good spell to take the lead with 20 minutes to go after a well-played attack.
However, this lead lasted no more than a couple of minutes before Nikolaj Bagger took matters into his own hands. He received the ball at midfield and dribbled through the entire Næstved team before striking the ball into the far corner. From there FC Helsingør applied heavy pressure to go ahead. With just over five minutes left, FC Helsingør equalized at 2-1 after another shot from Nikolaj Bagger, which was saved by the goalkeeper. The ball came out again, where Bagger was hit by the ball, so it then went into the net. Lucky, yes, but fully deserved. For the rest of the match FC Helsingør played smart and saw the victory through. Next weekend features a top match against FA2000, who have won all their matches so far this season.
U13 – FCH-Slagelse
1-1
FCH U13 kicked off their spring season this weekend, and after a good buildup the boys were determined to bring points home from Slagelse. Slagelse BI had narrowly and undeservedly lost to LSF last weekend, so the West Zealand side were also ready from the start when the referee blew for kickoff. During the first 5-10 minutes the match went back and forth – though with FCH as the more prominent side. After 14 minutes, however, SBI caught the Helsingør boys high up the pitch and launched a counterattack. It was, strictly speaking, the first time Slagelse BI had possession in FCH’s box, and the home team somewhat undeservedly turned that into a 1-0 lead.
FC Helsingør, however, replied four minutes later, when Nicolai Wargo equalized to 1-1. Wargo had the following comment after the match:
– We played a good match. We took control from the start with good combinations and high pressure; unfortunately, we went behind on a counterattack from Slagelse. But we came back quickly and scored after a superb assist from Tobias Erwolter.
For the rest of the match it was actually FC Helsingør on top. The Helsingør side were skilled on the ball and especially their pressing game worked well, and many times the SBI players became stressed by the aggressive pressure. However, they failed to capitalize on their advantage, and therefore 1-1 was also the result of the match. A result that the boys were very disappointed with afterward, as they felt like the better team on the day. There were several good performances, but especially FCH’s right-back Tobias Erwolter deserves praise for his efforts.
Next weekend U13 host Ølstykke FC on Sunday at their home ground in Snekkersten at 14.00.
