After the respectable defeat to Hobro last week, it is time for our first ever Alka Superliga home match at Helsingør Stadium. The opponents are the Funen flagship from OB, who also failed to pick up any points in the first round when they lost their opening match against FC Nordsjælland.
It is therefore an OB team that will be hungry for points on Monday, but who at the same time have also put themselves under pressure from the notoriously demanding OB fans, who had hoped for more.
Head coach Christian Lønstrup is looking forward to the first home match at a newly renovated stadium.
– These are two teams both chasing their first points, so it is an important match for both sides. We have trained really well over the past week, and have had time to digest the Hobro match. We are looking better and better physically, and now we must show that we have also become smarter. OB is a club with a lot of tradition and some good individuals, whom we must try to shut down, but we are traditionally strong at home and need to build on the results we have had here. Helsingør Stadium should be a fortress for us.
FC Helsingør can hand debuts to Adnan Mohammad, if his playing permit has finally come through, as well as to Mark Leth Pedersen, who joined during the past week. Jonas Henriksen and Johannes Ritter are out with minor injuries.
