On Friday evening, important points had to be secured as FC Helsingør's boys headed south to meet bottom side Nykøbing FC. Historically, FC Helsingør have never won at Lollands Bank Park, so there was excitement in the air before the opening whistle.

However, the excitement was quickly replaced by two teams who struggled to find their rhythm and keep the ball under control. It would take more than half an hour before Tobias Augustinus and Mathias Brems broke free on the left wing, which they did successfully several times during the match. Tobias shot towards the far post, but the goalkeeper saved it for a corner.

Just a few minutes later, the duo were at it again on the left side. This time it ended with a low cross into the six-yard box, where Oliver Drost got to the ball first and could have made it 1-0 had the goalkeeper not stood in the way of the big chance.

Thus, the 1 half ended as it began: 0-0.

The play began to flow better from the start of the 2 half, and the boys could taste points. After 53 minutes, Mathias Christensen was played through and cut brilliantly in front of his opponent, leaving him alone with the goalkeeper. Unfortunately, the finish lacked quality, and the shot was once again saved.

Although FC Helsingør had the upper hand in possession, Nykøbing were still ready for battle. After an hour of play, former Helsingør player Emil Wass found space in front of Helsingør's box and sent a shot off, but Hjalte Petersen had already read the direction.

Ten minutes later, the chances were back at Nykøbing's goal when Tobias Elmelund was served a fine cross from Nikolaj Bagger. His header, however, hit the crossbar and ended up in the hands of the home team's goalkeeper.

With a quarter of an hour left, Tobias Augustinus and Robert Marcus were replaced by Hjalte Lærke and Thomas Basbøll, and FC Helsingør pressed hard for the winning goal.
Several shots from the edge of the box whistled just past the posts, but precision was lacking.

Emil Morgan came on in place of Nikolaj Bagger, and all efforts were put into scoring. In the dying seconds of the match, Mikkel Knudsen sent the ball to Thomas Basbøll's feet, who struck it - but once again the goalkeeper was in the way and fell to the ground with the ball in his hands to the sound of the referee's final whistle.

The match therefore ended 0-0, and the curse at Lollands Bank Park continues.

Once again, a big thank you must go to our dedicated fans, who braved the trip and the cold and shouted confidence into the boys, regardless of the result!
THANK YOU!

In a week, this year's final match awaits at Helsingør Stadion. We hope that everyone with blue-and-white-striped hearts will come and send the team off into the winter break in good spirits - this time with a victory.
