FC Helsingør’s Talent Department has in recent weeks had no fewer than a total of 10 players selected for various DBU U13-U14 and U15 training camps, and now on Tuesday Robert Marcus (formerly Jægersborg B) – Lucas Lach (formerly Snekkersten IF) and Olav Fog Godvin (formerly Fredensborg B&I) from FC Helsingør’s talented age group 2004, will take part in the DBU U15 Futures gathering in Ballerup. The gathering will feature a training session in the morning and a match against Næstved IF’s U16 team in the afternoon. The boys have been selected together with players from other B-license clubs, as well as players from FCK, OB, Lyngby and FCN.

The Futures gatherings are for players who are assessed technically and football-wise to have national team level, but physically and in terms of size are not quite at the level of the older players in the age groups.

T+ coach in FCH Talent, René Lybek Hansen, states:
It is a great credit to the three boys’ hard and daily work at the club. It is fully deserved that these boys are once again selected for a DBU Futures gathering.

We in FCH Talent are very proud that so many of our players are in the mix with DBU. In fact, two more have been through here in the autumn. It is part of our strategy that we get FC Helsingør established as a regular supplier to DBU’s training camps, and naturally in the long term also to DBU’s youth national teams and our own first team.

We are also currently experiencing increased interest in our young talents, but big, established Superliga clubs here on Zealand get no from our players and parents. The youngsters choose to stay in FC Helsingør because their daily environment is really good and we have skilled coaches/leaders around the teams. That is something we are very proud of, because it tells us that although we perhaps do not have the best results at the moment, we have the right environment and the players are developing in the right direction. Which also means that both DBU and the big clubs are looking at our players. So it is a big pat on the back for both the players and coaches/leaders in FCH, but certainly also for the great and impressive work being done out in the local and regional partner clubs. We are proud to gather the local boys in the FCH setup and see them succeed, René Lybek Hansen concludes.
