FC Helsingør has sold top scorer Tonni Adamsen to Superliga club Silkeborg IF. Tonni has had his big breakthrough at FC Helsingør since he joined the club back in January 2021, when he came to the club from BK Frem. Regarding the sale of the striker, director Jim Kirks says:
– I am happy for Tonni's sake and I know it is a dream for Tonni to play in the Superliga. Silkeborg IF is a good team with a fine culture and I am sure that Tonni will do well in Silkeborg.
Tonni Adamsen was FC Helsingør's top scorer last season with many spectacular goals. He scored 15 goals in the 2021-2022 season and also scored two fine goals in the recent cup match against Hvidovre.
Tonni Adamsen puts the following words to the move to Silkeborg IF:
– I need to express my gratitude for all the support I have received at the club. It has been fantastic to be part of FC Helsingør. Now it is time to try something else and I have always wanted to test myself at the highest level. Thanks to the club and to our fans for the support during the time I have been here.
Tonni Adamsen underwent a medical in Silkeborg yesterday and moves with immediate effect to the Superliga club in Jutland.
