Thomas Slosarich, who was supposed to start as talent director at the club on 1 August, will not be working for FC Helsingør in that role after all.

Director Janus Kyhl explains the somewhat unusual situation:

– Quite simply, Thomas has got a, for him, very unique opportunity with a consulting job that involves a good deal of travel to the USA. Thomas has long wanted the chance to test himself abroad and, as a bonus, have closer contact with his American family. As a club, we have a great deal of understanding for Thomas’ wish, and that situations can suddenly arise where family matters come before everything else.

Thomas is very sorry both to have to disappoint us, and that he will not get the opportunity to work in the club. He has offered to help us in various consulting functions in the youth department, provided we can find something appropriate and something that can be approved by his future employer.

We will now look for a replacement for the position of talent director, but for now the youth department is run by Marc Thevis and René Lybæk, who also headed the department last year, so it is in very competent hands until we find a replacement for Thomas.
