First of all, a big thank you to investors, board, sponsors, FCH Academy, parent clubs, local politicians, Helsingør Municipality, volunteers, employees, fans and all other stakeholders who have contributed to FC Helsingør once again being a locally rooted club that stands in a good place. Without you – no club.

We ended the 22/23 season in a 6 place in the NordicBet League, and thus the sporting target for the season has been achieved. Great praise to the staff and players, who have managed to perform despite many changes off the pitch.
Now we look ahead to the coming season.

Long-term sporting target

The sporting target is to be an established team at the top of the NordicBet League in the coming years. The club must be developed so that FC Helsingør builds a foundation on and off the pitch that ensures the club is ready for promotion to the Superliga.

Target for the season

The target for the coming season is a placement in the top 6 in the NordicBet League.

FC Helsingør as a development house

FC Helsingør has just sold Alexander Lyng to Servette FC and Callum McCowatt to Silkeborg IF. These player sales show what FC Helsingør can do as a club. Alexander Lyng comes from our own academy and Callum McCowatt has been at the club since 2020. Both players have developed at FC Helsingør and both players have been sold to a club on a higher level.
Going forward, we will develop players from our own academy and talents that we can attract to the club. In FC Helsingør, there must be a short and simple path to playing time in the NordicBet League. All players must develop at FC Helsingør and all players must ensure that the replacement in their position develops at the same time. This partnership between the players ensures that there is a replacement ready when a player needs to be sold.
We have an ambition to be the most selling club in the NordicBet League.

Squad composition

The NordicBet League will have high quality in the coming season and we must put together a competitive squad to achieve the sporting target. We have a squad composition that combines key players with experience from the NordicBet/Super League with young talents. We must have internal competition in all positions on the pitch and it must be possible to work one’s way to playing time. With an experienced base in the team, we can systematically bring playing time to our talents.

The sporting organization

To be able to develop the players, we have put together a staff consisting of Head Coach Daniel K. Pedersen, Physical Coach Gustav Ibsen, Assistant Coach Alvaro Santos, Assistant Coach John Bredal, Goalkeeping Coach Michael Charpentier, Physiotherapist Michael Nielsen, Physiotherapist Sebastian Olsen, Team Manager Kasper Christiansen and Team Manager Torben Fleischer. We have attached mental coach Rasmus Bagger to the team for the remainder of 2023. The staff works daily with U19 coach Morten Mundus from FCH Academy and our coaches participate in the work with the U19 squad, just as Morten Mundus is involved in the work around the NordicBet league team.
The sporting management at the club consists of Chief Scout Karim Bader, Head Coach Daniel K. Pedersen and Sporting Director Bo Bay Hougaard. The sporting management works with FC Academy’s director, Kenneth Rasmussen, regarding the U19 team, scouting in general and ensuring a uniform playing style throughout FC Helsingør.
We have upgraded our sporting setup, just as we have optimized the cooperation between FCH Academy and FC Helsingør. We agree on the strategy and look forward to working long-term with the execution.

The whole city’s stadium

We look forward to a new season with offensive and modern football, goals, good results and not least a lot of happy people at the whole city’s stadium. Fans and local support are the cornerstone of the club’s future and we hope that the 23/24 season will offer the highest attendance ever. Welcome.

On behalf of FC Helsingør, Bo Bay Hougaard
