Since the 2018 season, FC Helsingør’s youth department, the Academy, and Sparekassen Sjælland have awarded an annual talent prize: The first two prizes were rightly awarded first to Emil Steen Rasmussen from the 2002 age group, who originally was an Espergærde IF player, and in 2019 the prize went to Lasse Skafte, also from the 2002 age group. Lasse Skafte originally played for Gilleleje FK, FCN, and Helsinge Fodbold, and came to FCH as an U14 player.

Again here in 2020, the local business community continues to loyally support the great work at FCH Academy. and we are proud to present the nominees for Sparekassen Sjælland’s Talent Award, generously sponsored by Sparekassen Sjælland, and in addition a gift card is sponsored by another loyal sponsor, Mr. August.

This year’s talent is chosen according to the criteria below, and is selected in a collaboration between FCH Academy and Helsingør Talent & Elite. One of the most important criteria for both Sparekassen Sjælland, Helsingør Elite Sports Academy (HEA) and FCH Academy is that both school and sport go closely and well together for the nominees:

Each calendar year we choose a player who is both a student in HEA’s sports program and an FCH youth player. This award is given to recognize the recipient’s abilities, both as a footballer at FC Helsingør and as a student at Helsingør Elite Sports Academy. During the process, the recipient must have shown great dedication, focus, maturity, and not least a talent for developing themselves as a student, player and person. These traits must again have meant that the recipient has been able to perform on the pitch and at school. At the same time, the recipient has used their social skills, and helped create wellbeing and a good learning environment in both contexts.

The nominees this year are:

1. Mathias Christensen, better known as “MAC” – Age group 2001

2. Hjalte Søborg Petersen – Age group 2002

3. Sigurd Sachse -Age group 2004

4. Gustav Rosenquist – Age group 2005

5. Gustav Johansen – Age group 2006

The award will be presented before kick-off at the last FCH home match of the season at Helsingør Stadium, against AB on the 01. of July. We hope everyone will give a big hand to the upcoming recipient of Sparekassen Sjælland’s Talent Award 2019.
