Vendsyssel FF and Søren Henriksen have agreed the terms of a contract, after Vendsyssel activated the release clause in Søren’s contract. That means Søren Henriksen is moving to Vendsyssel with immediate effect.
Janus Kyhl sends praise after the defender, who played as captain for much of the past season.
– Søren has been a hard-working, humble and responsible player from day one, and one of those who has led the way both in matches and in training. It should come as no secret that we would have liked to keep Søren, but he has a very strong desire to play at the highest level in Denmark, which was also one of the compelling reasons why we were able to bring Søren to the club in the first place.
Fortunately, we have some really good defenders in the squad who can take over Søren’s place, and with Andreas Holm’s return we had almost too many centre-backs, so it is not a position we need to spend major resources on. We wish Søren the best of luck with his further career, and thank him for the great effort he put in during his time at FC Helsingør.
