Today Helsingør met the Russian Premier League side FC Khimki in the second and final training match in Turkey.
Both teams were patient during the first 10 minutes, and FC Helsingør were then able to change that by pressing the Russian side, which made it difficult for FC Khimki to keep the ball in their own ranks. 24 minutes into the first half Elijah Just found Philip Rejnhold in behind, who lashed the ball to the far post, where Kristoffer Munksgaard was ready to tap the ball into the net. 1-0 to FC Helsingør
From the first whistle of the second half, FC Helsingør again applied high pressure to the Russians, which allowed Kristoffer Munksgaard to break through on the left wing by producing a great nutmeg and, with his left foot, send the ball to the far post, where an unmarked Tonni Adamsen can confidently head the ball past the goalkeeper. 2-0 to FC Helsingør.
12 minutes before the final whistle, Frederik Juul and Callum McCowatt delivered fine combinations, where Callum ends up with the ball at his feet and can place the ball into the opposite corner of the goal. 3-0 to FC Helsingør.
2 minutes later FC Khimki were able to play through the FC Helsingør defence and score their first and only goal of the match. 3-1 goal for FC Khimki.
Helsingør win 3-1 over FC Khimki in the last training match in Turkey.
Tomorrow is the last training day at the camp in Turkey before the squad flies back to Denmark on Thursday
