FC Helsingør were in action today against BK Frem. Helsingør lost last weekend to Superliga leaders FC Nordsjælland, but today the opponent was somewhat more manageable. At least on paper.

BK Frem lined up in grey and Helsingør's boys in their familiar red away shirts.

The cold entertainment got underway with Frem on the ball. But it was as if both teams needed to warm up their legs before anything really happened.

It was Helsingør's Sterling Yatéké who, after 12 minutes, broke through, got past the defense and got into a good position. Unfortunately the shot lacked a lot of power to get past the keeper.

Five minutes later, captain Daniel Norouzi is brought down outside the box, but the free kick is overhit.

After 25 minutes, Oliver Drost is involved, but he too is brought down. This results in a red card for BK Frem's number 18. But due to the rule for friendly matches, he is replaced instead of BK Frem playing with one man less. So still 11 v 11.

After half an hour of play, Helsingør again wins a free kick on the edge of the box, but this time the keeper is in place and manages to push the ball away low in the corner.

Despite Helsingør's advantage so far, it is still BK Frem who first puts the ball in the net with a header. Fortunately the linesman signals offside and the score therefore remains 0-0 until the break.

Half-time.

Both teams must have warmed up during the break, as it did not take many minutes before the match picture was completely different from the first half.

FC Helsingør started the second half on the ball and it took only three minutes for Oliver Klitten before the ball was in the net at BK Frem.
Five minutes later it was Callum McCowatt who brilliantly chipped the ball over the keeper to make it 2-0 to FC Helsingør.
However, it did not last long, as BK Frem a few minutes after the ball had been put back into play, pressed Helsingør's defense and reduced the score to 2-1 in a situation where Helsingør keeper Stan Van Bladeren does not look too lucky. But it didn't matter much as Oliver Kjærgaard 3 minutes later made it 3-1.

After that, both teams had seen enough action for a while and the pace dropped a little.

After 71 minutes BK Frem earned a penalty and outplayed Stan in the Helsingør goal to make it 2-3.

The excitement was now back in the match and both teams had several chances.
First it was Helsingør's Oliver Drost, who after a good run out on the wing, chipped the ball over the keeper, but there was no one to receive it at the other end. Then it was BK Frem, who also from the wing sent a dangerous ball across the box. But here too the final decisive touch was missing.

In the dying minutes of the match, FC Helsingør's Mathias Bill sealed the win with a beautiful lob over the BK Frem keeper for the final score 4-1.
