On Wednesday evening FC Helsingør’s U19 boys played the quarterfinal in the youth cup against Lyngby BK.
From the start, it was set up for an exciting match, as the local rivals have performed well in the U-19 league this season.
Our boys were fortunately well prepared, and already from the start of the match you could feel that they were hungry for a victory and further advancement in the tournament.
After only 15 minutes, Mingus Hesselholt had put the home team ahead by 2-0, after which the pace of the match dropped a little. Shortly before halftime, Lyngby managed to pull one back to 2-1.
The second half was more tense, but despite FC Helsingør being denied a penalty, the boys still managed to hold firm until the referee’s final whistle.
Thus the team advances to the semifinal in the youth cup, where they will face Roskilde
