FC Helsingør have signed the 32-year-old goalkeeper Sebastian Mielitz from the German club FC Viktoria Köln.
Sebastian Mielitz joins FC Helsingør with immediate effect on a contract until the summer of 2024.
Sports director Brian Gellert is pleased with the signing: Why Sebastian? Because of the experience. Like Kevin, Sebastian is a goalkeeper with great experience — also from the Danish league. I am really happy that the deal became a reality and Sebastian will fit perfectly into the squad. It is a big day for FC Helsingør.
Sebastian Mielitz comes from FC Viktoria Köln, where he has been since the summer of 2020. Before moving to FC Viktoria Köln, he also spent time at the Danish Superliga club SønderjyskE in the period from 2017-2020. Sebastian Mielitz was among other things part of making SønderjyskE cup champions in the 2019-2020 season.
In addition, Sebastian has been a goalkeeper on Germany's U20 national team and participated in the U20 World Cup.
Sebastian Mielitz is happy about the interest from FC Helsingør: I am very happy to be back in Denmark and look forward to being part of FC Helsingør. I am excited to become part of the squad, which is currently on training camp in Turkey. I am convinced that together we will reach our goals.
Simon Hansen, goalkeeper coach at FC Helsingør: He has been in the game for many years. We are convinced that Sebastian can help us fill the gap in the goalkeeper position, but also help the young goalkeeper talents. We are very optimistic, excited and happy that he is now part of FC Helsingør.
Sebastian Mielitz meets up with the rest of the squad in Turkey, where FC Helsingør is currently on training camp.
Welcome to Sebastian.
