On Sunday, FC Helsingør played the season’s last home match. It was the NordicBet league’s winning team from Vejle that visited Helsingør Stadium. Therefore, the promoted team was honored and FC Helsingør captain Daniel Norouzi presented flowers to Vejle’s Raul Albentosa.

In addition, we also had to say goodbye to the loanees Oliver Klitten and Sayouba Mandé, who are returning to their respective clubs, Aab and OB.
The defensive general Nicolai Geertsen also played his last match for the city’s team at Helsingør Stadium, and with his family by his side he was honored with flowers and applause before kickoff.

The whole of Helsingør thanks you for your enormous efforts and wishes you all the best in the next step of your careers.

At halftime, it was time to name this year’s talent from the academy. Thomas Guldbæk from our partner Spar Nord presented the talent award to U17 player Mingus Valdemar Geisnæs Hesselholt for his impressive performance throughout the season. Last year’s winner, U15 player Jeppe Fray Rasmussen, was also celebrated with applause and was presented with a commemorative trophy.

The match against Vejle ended in a draw, where Callum McCowatt scored his ninth goal of the season and thereby moved up alongside Alexander Lyng as the team’s top scorer.

The final round of the NordicBet league promotion play-offs will take place on Sunday. Here the team will travel to Haderslev, where Sønderjyske awaits.

Thank you for an incredibly great season! Significant changes in the club have not affected the players’ performances on the pitch and the support from all our fantastic fans is palpable – We look forward to welcoming you back to Helsingør Stadium in the new season!
