20-year-old Robert Marcus is being loaned to Faroese side EB/Streymur for the rest of the season.

After his breakthrough in the first team last season, the midfielder has been in action in 23 matches in the NordicBet Liga and was among the regulars in the starting line-up at the start of the season. However, the club's results have not been satisfactory, and changes in playing style as well as a coaching reshuffle have meant that Robert Marcus's playing time in recent times has become significantly less.

The talent and work ethic are unquestionable, and so that Robert can continue to focus fully on his development, all parties have agreed that a short loan spell is the next natural step in Robert's career.

“Robert Marcus is a young player whom we have high expectations for and are counting on, but there has been a long way to playing time in the recent period. We are therefore happy about the prospect of Robert getting plenty of playing time and returning with more experience,” says director Bo Bay Hougaard.

The choice fell on Faroese EB/Streymur, who finished mid-table in the top Faroese league last season, and therefore Robert will primarily get the opportunity to get minutes, but also to test himself in new surroundings.
At the same time, Robert Marcus expects the squad in Helsingør to fight their way through this difficult period and hopefully emerge on the other side still in the country's second-best division.

“The prospect of playing time in the remaining matches was not optimal, so together with the club and the coaching staff I agreed that this is the best solution for me to get playing time and thereby continue my development. It will be exciting to try something different, but I am determined to return even better and of course continue to play first division football for FC Helsingør after the summer.”

The loan agreement runs until 30 June 2024.
