The rebuilding ahead of the season start has already begun, and the first reinforcement is a familiar face. Ricki Olsen thus returns to FC Helsingør after a single year at HB Køge. The experienced right back has played 98 matches and scored seven goals for FCH, so it is a man who knows the team who is returning.

There was joy at the reunion when we spoke with Ricki Olsen:
– I’ve been away for a year, so I’ve just spoken with the captain, Andreas (Holm, ed.), about the club and the new owners, and I’ve only heard good things. The values and the club are the same; there are just different people at the helm, so I’m sure it will be good. FC Helsingør has become a bit like my club in Denmark, so it feels good to be back, and now the overriding goal is of course to get us back into the first division. I’m just looking forward to getting started.

Head scout and sporting director Brian Gellert:
– When the opportunity arose to bring Ricki back, everyone in the sporting department agreed that it was a good idea. He knows the club, and was a popular figure in the dressing room in all the seasons he was here.

Ricki is guaranteed to always put in a 100% committed effort, he is very professional in his approach to football, and is a winner who will always want to win at any cost. He brings a maturity and experience that our young players can lean on, and it has been important for us to supplement the squad with some leaders who can set a good example for the young players, and lead the way both in matches and in training. We know what we get with Ricki, and we are really happy to have him back. And it also says something about the belief in the whole project, that a man like Ricki chooses us over the inquiries that came from clubs in the NordicBet Liga.
