Pep Alomar steps down as head coach of FC Helsingør
The management of FC Helsingør has, after mutual understanding with head coach Pep Alomar, decided to end the collaboration.
“We would like to thank Pep Alomar for his dedication and professional effort as head coach of FC Helsingør. Pep has contributed valuable experience and skills that have strengthened our team both on and off the pitch. He has been an essential part of the club’s development in recent months, and we have been happy to have him on the team here in Helsingør,” says board member Ion Bilbao.
Pep joined the club in mid-September and led the team in nine league matches and one cup match. During this period, the team has had mixed results, which has resulted in a placement in eighth place in the league table at the winter break.
“I have had an exciting time at FC Helsingør and am grateful for the opportunity to work with the team and the club. I have really enjoyed the last three and a half months and consider the club and the players as family. I have learned a lot and had many great experiences here, but after an open and constructive dialogue with the management, we agree that it is time to move on. I wish the club and the players all the best going forward and will follow their journey with great interest,” says Pep Alomar about his time at FC Helsingør.
