FC Helsingør has sold midfielder Patrick Olsen to Superliga club AaB.
Head scout Brian Gellert is very pleased with the deal:
– It has always been the plan that Patrick would move on in this window. That was, among other things, one of the reasons we brought in Daniel Norouzi as a replacement, as well as Nikolaj Hansen, who can also cover the defensive midfield position.
Patrick has been here for almost two years, and has worn the shirt with the utmost professionalism throughout his time here. I don’t think he has missed a training session in two years, and in that sense he has raised the level in the squad with his example
– The plan was for Patrick to play a lot of football and get back to his old level, and then be sold on when it made sense for both parties, and we are proud, not just on Patrick’s behalf, but also on our own, that one of Denmark’s biggest clubs is looking our way in their recruitment. We will not comment on the details of the finances, but it is an excellent deal for us, and a really good opportunity for Patrick, so we are very satisfied.
Patrick Olsen joined FCH ahead of the club’s debut in the Superliga in 2017, and made 61 appearances and scored three goals for FC Helsingør.
