It was with great joy that we were able to announce the other day that head coach Omid Namazi would continue at FC Helsingør in the coming season. Unfortunately, the joy was short-lived. Due to personal circumstances, Omid Namazi is forced to return to the USA and does not see himself able to continue as head coach in Helsingør.

Omid Namazi himself is saddened to leave FCH early:
– I would like to thank Jordan Gardner and the rest of the management at FC Helsingør for giving me the opportunity to lead FCH as head coach in the last three months. Unfortunately, for personal reasons, I am forced to resign from my position and return to the USA. I wish Jordan and the rest of FC Helsingør every success with the exciting project.

Assistant coach Brian O'Donnell was part of Omid Namazi's staff and is also leaving his position.

Chairman of the board Jordan Gardner regrets having to see Namazi and O'Donnell leave the club:
– We would like to thank both Omid and Brian for all their hard work, and for spending so much time far away from their families. The club is stronger now, and in better shape than before the two joined. I would like to take this opportunity to wish them all the best in their future careers. They will both continue to be part of the FC Helsingør family in the future.

– The sporting management has already been working over the weekend to draw up a list of potential replacements, and will begin the interview process already in the coming week. Our top priority is of course to find a replacement who can carry forward our current system and sporting strategy.
