The club has agreed with Ole Nielsen from OB on a cooperation for the next 2 years. Ole Nielsen comes from a position as chief scout at Superliga club OB, where he has been employed full-time since 2016. Ole Nielsen has previously scouted for clubs such as Leicester City, Newcastle FC and Everton, so he is an experienced man we have hired for the position of sporting director.
About the future work at the club, Ole Nielsen says:
– I am happy and proud to become sporting director at FC Helsingør. It is a challenge that I look forward to with pleasure. I have had some good talks with Jordan Gardner, Jim Kirks and Morten Eskesen and we share the same ambitions and views on how we can further develop FC Helsingør in a positive direction.. I know the club, the team and the players from my current job and have followed the positive development from a distance. I am looking forward to becoming part of FC Helsingør and working with the management, administration, coaching staff, players and academy and together creating an even stronger FC Helsingør.
Ole Nielsen has experience with both local and international scouting and has an in-depth knowledge of footballers, which makes him highly qualified for the job.
Director Jim Kirks says:
– We are pleased to welcome Ole to our club. Ole’s experience of working in a Superliga club and other teams in Europe will definitely lift the club. I believe Ole’s addition to the sporting staff will show our continued growth and commitment to the future.”
Ole Nielsen takes up the position as sporting director on 1 September 2022 and the agreement runs until and including 31 August 2024.
