FCH Talent now includes entire 20 clubs in the collaboration between the municipality and the region; among them, 15 clubs have youth football, which we nurture together through coaching courses, scouting, club visits and more. All of this is done to give our local players better development opportunities.
In that collaboration, we have two centres for U10-12 football where we train the boys 1x a week in addition to training at their own local club. From there, up to 20 players are selected for our TOP centre in Fredensborg. This age group is something special, as for the first time it has proven possible that, of the 14 players who currently came there, as many as nine local/regional clubs were represented, and number 10 is possibly on the way. It is a huge credit to the local clubs and coaches that so many clubs are represented at the TOP centre.
– One of the criteria here is, among other things, "players with special potential," and it makes me proud that we can find that so broadly, says Children & Youth Development Coach at FCH Talent, Rene Lybek Hansen.
-Now the challenge is to make sure that the 9-10 different training cultures come together and learn to train in the same way, and in line with the goals FCH youth football has for the age group – a process we are working hard on, Rene concludes.
