Michael ‘Kappa’ Charpentier takes over the role as goalkeeping coach at FC Helsingør.
Michael comes from the same position at recently relegated Fremad Amager and was previously part of their talent academy. Therefore, he also has a lot of experience with young talented keepers, and will further strengthen FC Helsingør's ambitions to develop our own academy players.
Michael becomes part of FC Helsingør's coaching setup and will, in cooperation with the rest of the team, develop and implement the club's strategy and style of play for the upcoming season.
Michael is a team player and places great emphasis on his players working under the best conditions and on relationships being top-notch. Both among the goalkeepers, but also with the rest of the squad.
“I think the project here in Helsingør seems super exciting and after dialogue with the management and a very good first impression, I can easily see myself in this setup. I played football myself when I was young, but not at the top level, so to continue living off your passion is only a dream few can have. Getting to work hard every day to see the players develop and hopefully break through on the big stage is just fantastic. Now we just need to go out and work hard on the pitch so we can live up to the club's ambitions”
