FC Helsingør and head coach Christian Lønstrup have signed a new and improved contract. It had been a fixed agreement that if it resulted in promotion to the Superliga, the head coach's contract would be renegotiated. Yesterday, the final details fell into place, and Christian Lønstrup was able to put his signature on a contract that contained improvements for the head coach himself, but which also ties him more closely to the club.
Chairman of the board for FC Helsingør, Finn Moseholm had the biggest smile on his face when the negotiations finally fell into place.
-Christian Lønstrup and FC Helsingør are the perfect match, both in football terms and personally. The new contract means a strengthened partnership, which rewards Christian Lønstrup for his fantastic results and at the same time sends a signal that the club has ambitions for the future. In this connection we see Christian as an important piece, says the chairman of the board.
Finn Moseholm also states that FC Helsingør has stretched itself as much as the club can to show how highly we value Christian Lønstrup's work.
-FC Helsingør is a club with great ambitions, but at the same time with its feet firmly planted on the ground and in the local community. It is true that the promotion and the situation we are currently in bear the hallmarks of a fairy tale, but it did not come out of thin air. It is built on a foundation of hard work, local community, commitment and skilled leaders like Christian Lønstrup. That is the ladder we will use year by year to expand our goals and aim for the top. We are not satisfied, states Finn Moseholm.
