For the second time, Nødebo School, part of Grønnevang School, and FCH Talent, in collaboration with Nødebo IF, have created a successful five-week program with the 0-5 classes at the school. This time it was U15 head coach Markus Søgaard Uglebjerg and Kenneth Just Petersen from FCH, who were out working with the children every Wednesday.

“The purpose of the project is to motivate the children to move and play. We focus on creating exercises/games and activities that provide exercise, joy, social relations, cooperation and at the same time challenge learning a little,” says Rene Lybek Hansen, children’s & youth development coach at FCH, who is also pleased that the close cooperation with the school and club in Nødebo has continued successfully from last year.

The project, which has now run twice, has received great praise from school principal Mette Vibeke Schmidt and the teachers at the school, who among other things say: “The coaches come with a clear plan for the children and the activities” – “The coaches have good pedagogy and approach to the children’s behavior and conduct” – “They are good at turning training into play” – “They have a lovely praising approach to the students” – “the children look forward to the activities from week to week” – “teachers and children say, please come again”. So, as Mette Vibeke Schmidt concludes, “Once again it was a success”.

The two parties have already started talking about a third program next year.
