Two and a half years after Nicklas Mouritsen came to the club from Skive, his time in Helsingør is now over.

Over the years, Mouritsen has been incredibly reliable in his position as left back, where he was always a regular on the team sheet. With his 90 appearances across all competitions, Mouritsen also leaves the team as one of the players with the most matches in the Helsingør shirt, surpassed only by captain Daniel Norouzi, defensive colleague Kasper Enghardt and Frederik Juul Christensen, who is out with an injury.

The 28-year-old back is therefore swapping FC Helsingør's light blue stripes for OB's dark blue and thus also returning to Denmark's top division, the Superliga.

We are incredibly proud to be able to send yet another player on to a higher level, even though it means that we must at the same time say goodbye to one of the club's major profiles.

FC Helsingør thanks Nicklas Mouritsen for his great effort and fine performances in the Helsingør shirt and wishes him all the best in the next step of his career.

Nicklas Mouritsen and OB have agreed on a three-year contract.
