24-year-old Monday Etim is the new man at FC Helsingør.
Monday joins the club after 4 years at FC Roskilde, where he has in recent seasons been an important part of Roskilde's attack and ended the season as the team's top scorer.
The striker already has experience from the NordicBet Liga from his first year at FC Roskilde. Now he is therefore returning to the league on a two-year contract with FC Helsingør and he looks forward to showing that he can keep up with the level.
“I’m very excited and can’t wait to enter the pitch for the first time. I’ve played in the first division before, so I know the level already and I can see myself help the club and make a difference.”
When the negotiations started and FC Helsingør showed interest, there was no doubt that the interest was mutual. Monday could see himself in the project and the ambitions of both parties fit really well together. Monday is now closer to his family, who live in Helsingør, and he already knows Mathias “Mac” Christensen, whom the club has also signed from FC Roskilde.
“Obviously I knew the club and I want to help them reach the goals for the next season and I believe I can play a part in this. When the club made contact, I immediately felt good and the club could see me in its vision for the future. I’m also getting closer to the family now, so everything just came together. Now im just excited to meet all of my new teammates and i look forward to start the season”
FC Helsingør and Monday Etim have agreed on a contract that runs until 30/6-25
