FC Helsingør has extended the contract of goalkeeper Mikkel Bruhn until the summer of 2020. The original contract ran until the summer of 2018, and has been replaced by a full-time contract.
27-year-old Mikkel Bruhn joined FC Helsingør in the summer of 2013, and has therefore been with the team all the way up through the divisions to the Superliga. He has been a regular on Helsingør's team sheet in the Superliga season, and has thus played every minute so far.
Mikkel Bruhn is happy about the extension, and the status as a full-time Superliga player:
– I have wanted to be full-time, so it is great that it has fallen into place. It means that I can concentrate on football and take it a step further when I do not have to go out and work on the side. When I signed my first contract, I would not have dared to believe in the Superliga, but that is what you dream of as a footballer: to play in the country's top division. As hard as it has been, just as exciting and fun has it been. We are in the process of having a good setup at the club, with skilled coaches who have a good approach to things. So I think the future looks bright for us.
Mikkel Bruhn was originally trained at FC Nordsjælland, and came to FC Helsingør from Espergærde IF. He was named FC Helsingør's player of the year in 2016.
