The defensive anchor was part of the successful promotion team, and has also been a regular starter since the promotion to the Superliga.
Director Janus Kyhl says in connection with the extension:
Mikkel has been a key player for us both last year and this season, so it is completely natural that we wanted to reward the development he has undergone, and make sure that he is also part of the club in the future. Despite his young age, he is a very stable player who works hard, and he is exactly the type of player we want in the club. It is very positive that we have secured him for another year.
Mikkel Basse moved to FC Helsingør from Lyngby BK in the summer of 2016.
