Those of you who were at the stadium on Wednesday evening saw Mathias Christensen, or “Mac” as he is called internally at the club, receive the award as this year’s Sparekasse Sjælland Talent.

The award is given to the FCH player and Helsingør Elite Academy student who has distinguished himself most in the past season.

Mac is a local boy from Helsingør who has now been at the club for a number of years, and from the start he has been a very hard-working and dedicated player both on and off the pitch. As a footballer, Mac has really developed very positively, especially after he became an U19 player. He has added many new layers to his fine technical skills and good game understanding. Through his great will and drive, Mac has accelerated his development so much that he is already training regularly with the first team as an U19 player for most of this year. He made his first-team debut in the important 3-0 home win over Thisted, and also got playing time in Wednesday’s match against AB, where he played most of the 2. half in the 3-1 victory.

In addition to playing for FCH, Mac attends Helsingør Elite Academy, where he has the best possible opportunities to combine football and school.

Mac is always very conscientious at school, where, despite his many hours on the football pitch, he has delivered a diligent and conscientious effort. He is also well liked among his classmates, where he is regarded as a loyal and good friend.

Big congratulations to Mathias “Mac” Christensen.
