Almost 150 people had turned up excited for FC Helsingør’s information meeting about the upcoming share issue Monday evening at Comwell in Snekkersten.
There were presentations from chairman Finn Moseholm about the club’s history, and the importance of building on it in future work, from talent director Kenneth Rasmussen about the visions for youth development and the great potential it holds, and from director Janus Kyhl, who answered questions about the financial side of the company.
The atmosphere was high, and when the meeting was over, the board could with great satisfaction note that shares had been subscribed for worth over a million kroner.
– There was a fantastic positive atmosphere at the meeting, and we had to go out and fetch extra chairs twice, says Janus Kyhl with a smile.
We could see that people had turned up from all over North Zealand, and there was a really good mix of representatives from the area’s larger companies, the small local shops, parents of youth players and ordinary fans. Overall, we have been positively surprised by the great support for the share project. It is fantastic that the local area time and again can take us by surprise, and we are very proud of people’s interest in our no longer so small football club.
Once the local backing and the foreign investors fall into place as soon as possible, we will have created a solid foundation for the further work of lifting ourselves into the top-15 in Danish football.
