After 3,5 years in Helsingør, Simon Hansen and the club have agreed not to extend the cooperation for a new season.
This means that when the season's last match against Sønderjyske has been played on Sunday 4/6, Simon has also had his last effective working day at FC Helsingør.
Simon joined the club in 2020, when FC Helsingør at that time had just won promotion from the country's third-best tier.
Simon has been part of the coaching staff, where under the team's former head coach Morten Eskesen, he has played a major role in the team's performances on the pitch and has also contributed to developing our young talented goalkeepers.
Simon himself will also look back on his time at FC Helsingør with positive feelings –
“I have had 3 fantastic years with some colleagues who every day gave me a lot of energy and some players who were fantastic to work with.
I feel that I am leaving the role of goalkeeping coach in a better place than when I took over. I will miss working day to day with a professional and dedicated goalkeeper team who are willing to develop and improve themselves.
Now it is time for me to seek new challenges.
There are many good people in and around FC Helsingør and I wish them all the best going forward.”
We are happy about Simon's contribution to the club over the past years and wish him all the best with the next step in his career – we will definitely see you on the pitch again!
