It was a match without any really big, clear chances, as well as with a lot of trial players and young players on the pitch for FC Helsingør, when Lyngby took a narrow victory in FCH's second training match on Wednesday afternoon. For long stretches it was hard to see the difference between the promoted team to the Superliga, and the relegated team to the 2. Division, but Lyngby finally scored right at the end, and thus took a narrow victory in the very even match.

The first quarter of an hour started with good pressure from FC Helsingør, but Lyngby slowly worked its way into the match, and turned the pressure around. However, there were a couple of good half-chances for Nicolas Mortensen from two good corners from Daniel Norouzi and Anders Holst respectively.

This was followed by a long period up to the half-hour mark, marked by trench warfare and midfield duels, and without major chances for either team. In FCH's defense, Joans Henriksen, Pascal and the newly arrived Nikolaj Hansen looked good, and Lyngby did not play through.

We had to wait until the 35th minute before Lyngby knocked on the door. A free kick on the right side just outside the box was placed just over the junction of the crossbar and post by Frederik Gytkjær.

Lyngby's central defense also stood firm, and it was primarily from corners that FCH threatened. After 40 minutes, it was close to Nikolaj Hansen getting highest to yet another well-delivered corner from Daniel Norouzi, who looked sharp on his set pieces.

Lyngby tried to create chances from a couple of set pieces just before the break, but no goals were scored, and so the teams could go into the dressing room with 0-0 on the scoreboard.

Five minutes into the second half, the former FCH player Adnan Mohammad broke through Helsingør's defensive line and cleverly laid the ball off to Frederik Gytkjær, who took a touch and shot. Jonas Henriksen threw himself into the ball, which unfortunately was struck straight up onto his arm. The referee immediately blew for a penalty, and Gytkjær went to the ball against young Christoffer Monty, who had been substituted into the FCH goal from the start of the second half. Gytkjær tried to place the ball high, but overhit his shot, which hit the crossbar and went over the goal.

After an hour, Douglas, Dalton Wilkins, Eli Just, and the two trial players Timmermans and Kannah were substituted on by stand-in coach Brian Gellert.

Shortly after, Douglas slipped into the box and got to the ball with his head on a cross from the left, forcing Lyngby's Thomas Mikkelsen into a brilliant save all the way out by the post.

Soon after, four more players came onto the pitch, and FCH had now changed the whole team except for Pascal Gregor.

In the 81th minute, it was no longer working for FC Helsingør. A cross across the box went through a larger group of friends and foes and found Emillio Simonsen in front of goal. He got a foot to it and smashed the ball into the net from ten meters out.
1-0 Lyngby BK

The many substitutions did not actually seem to weaken Helsingør significantly, and both Eli Just and Douglas had several good actions towards the final whistle, and FCH managed to play the ball around well and keep a good hold on it. But there were no more goals, and FC Helsingør could thus note a narrow defeat in their second training match.
