FC Helsingør has once again been hunting in Sweden.
This time it is the young Lucas Larsen from Eskilsminne IF, who has signed a 2,5-year contract with FC Helsingør.
Larsen has received his football education at Helsingborgs IF, and after spells at both AFC Eskilstuna and Ängelholms FF over the past few years, it is now time for the defender's first move abroad.
“My first impression is super good. Today was my first training session and a good preparation for the first test match. There was high tempo, good players and quality, so it feels good. I have had Álvvaro as a coach before, so we have talked a bit back and forth, and now the contract fell into place, which I am very happy about.
The 21-year-old Larsen is physically strong and comes to Helsingør with plenty of match experience. In the recently completed Swedish season he played almost full time in nearly all matches and was thus instrumental in Eskilsminne IF's fine fourth place.
“I always strive to do my best and put my heart on the pitch to ensure that my teammates feel safe with me, and vice versa. I always look ahead, whether things go up or down, and I always see new opportunities.”
Now a completely new reality awaits, where he must help the team turn around the disappointing results from the autumn season, so that FC Helsingør will continue to be found in the country's second-highest division after the summer.
We see great potential in Lucas Larsen and hope that he will grow and develop even more in the Helsingør shirt over the next few years.
The contract runs until 30/6-2026
