Dear fans, partners and sponsors.
We have heard from several of you, who are naturally concerned about the information out there that FC Helsingør is currently not allowed to sign new player contracts. This is because we do not meet all of Divisionsforeningen’s requirements in this area.
The situation has arisen because, as is well known, we are in the middle of an ownership change. It is taking longer than we expected to get all the final crucial formalities in order. But we are working hard on the task, so that we hopefully can finish in time before the transfer window opens in January.
As part of the process, those of you who are shareholders will know that we are holding an extraordinary general meeting on Monday with elections to the board as the sole agenda item. Next week we will therefore take yet another big step on the way toward the FC Helsingør of the future, for which we look forward to presenting the full plan in the new year.
Until then, we very much regret the confusion this has caused that the formalities are currently not in place. That is our responsibility in management. In practical terms it has no significance, because at no point have there been plans to recruit new players in December. The entire team, coaches and sporting management are on a well-deserved Christmas break. But it is clear that the matter must be put in order.
