29-year-old Mikkel Knudsen has chosen to extend his cooperation with FC Helsingør until the summer of 2025.

Knudsen came to Helsingør in 2021 and had a major share in the club's sporting success last season. This season Knudsen has been even more essential, both in terms of shutting down the opponents in defense, but also with aggressive runs on the wing, which have also resulted in 2 goals and 3 assists. Knudsen has been in action in 16 out of the team's current 17 league matches.

Now he will continue to wear Helsingør's colors for a few more years, and he is very satisfied with the extension.

“I am happy to continue and get some peace of mind. There are always some tensions around contract negotiations, so it's nice to get it sorted out quickly. My first priority has always been to stay. I thrive in everyday life and get on really well with my teammates, so it wasn't a difficult decision. I am happy with the solution we have found and look forward to continuing the collaboration. The club has an ambitious plan for the future and we also have some unfinished business from last season, which I look forward to being part of. And above all I look forward to sharing the victories with all our fans.”

The club's sporting director Janus Kyhl also looks forward to seeing Mikkel Knudsen continue for FC Helsingør.

“Mikkel is a fantastic player who contributes both on and off the pitch. It has been a priority for us to extend with Mikkel and fortunately both parties have had the attitude that this was a collaboration that should continue. Now we can look forward to additional years with Knudsen in our shirt and I am sure that it will be a great success for both player, club and fans.”
