As we reported from the training camp in Turkey, contracts would be signed with Ibrahim Samrawi and Emil Erbas upon return. Now “everything official” has fallen into place, and the two players, who have been with the squad for almost a couple of months, can be presented.
Ibrahim Samrawi comes from FC Copenhagen's U19 team, and has already made his debut in the FCH shirt. He can play both on the wing and as a wingback, and his strengths are his speed, both with and without the ball. Ibrahim will play in shirt no. 98.
Ibrahim himself has been excited about his start at FC Helsingør.
– “After speaking with my agent and with Janus (Kyhl, ed.), I felt clearly that FC Helsingør was the best choice for me and my career. I am sure that I can develop here, and make the step into the senior world. I have settled in well with the team, and it is a group of skilled and experienced players I have joined, from whom I feel I can learn a great deal.”
Emil Erbas has come from HIK, and is a hard-working and physically strong midfield grinder. He can play both as a defensive 6'er, or box-to-box player, so-called 8'er. As mentioned earlier on the website, Emil will, due to the DBU's rules for contract signings with amateur players, only become eligible to play from 1. June, but is joining FC Helsingør on contract already now, where he will train with the squad and can play for the reserve team until then. He has also had a good start in the FCH shirt:
– “I am super happy to have become part of the team, and I am incredibly excited to be able to come in and play matches here this summer. The lads have welcomed me really well, and made me feel like part of the team from day one.”
Emil Erbas will wear shirt number 8.

Director Janus Kyhl is pleased with the two new players:
– “Both ‘Ibo’ and Emil are real ‘FCH players’, understood in the sense that they are some really fine players who have flown a little under the radar at bigger clubs, but have now come here, where we are sure we can put them on the football map. Ibrahim is a modern attacking fullback, who can give us some of the same on the right side as Frederik Bay has given us on the left for a few years now, which will give us more strings to play on in the attacking game.
Emil is a good, quick-thinking midfielder who is a bit more physically oriented in his play than the types we otherwise have available in midfield. He will also give us an extra dimension in our play when he becomes eligible to play this summer, and he is still at an age where he can develop further, even though he is a little older than Ibrahim. We look forward to seeing the two break through at FCH.”
Ibrahim Samrawi and Emil Erbas have both signed contracts until the summer of 2020.
