20-year-old Hjalte Petersen has today signed a contract until the summer of 2025
The local goalkeeper has spent a large part of his youth years at FC Helsingør, and has moreover long been a regular part of the first-team squad and has also been in action several times. Most recently in this year’s cup competition against Hvidovre, which ended in a 4-2 victory.
He will now continue to battle for a place between the posts until 2025.
Hjalte himself is also delighted about the extension and looks forward to staying at the club.
“I am happy to be able to continue for the next two years in Helsingør and remain part of the healthy competition for places on the team. I am happy that everything is now in place, so I can focus on developing even more, and of course I look forward to running onto the pitch when the season starts up again and seeing all our fans at the stadium.”
Sports director Janus Kyhl is of course also happy to see Hjalte continue at the club and looks forward to seeing him keep developing positively.
“It is an important extension. Hjalte is a young and talented goalkeeper, who now gets the opportunity to continue developing even more with us and thereby at the same time compete for the places in goal.”
