When FC Helsingør’s NordicBet Liga team takes to the pitch for the season opener on Friday, it will do so with a new main sponsor on its chest. GardinXperten takes over the place of honor on the shirt from the start of the new season.
Sales manager René Dupont is proud of the new and improved deal with a sponsor that has supported the club in tumultuous times:
– GardinXperten, and their owner Torben Markussen, have been a great support for us over the past seasons, and it is great that we can put a large, local sponsor on the shirt. We have made a really good deal with GardinXperten, which must be said to be quite a large sponsorship in NordicBet Liga terms. We have generally felt great interest and support from the local business community, despite the corona shutdowns, etc. We are very much looking forward to finally opening our sponsors’ lounge properly, and we are delighted to start the new season with a deal of this caliber.
Torben Markussen from GardinXperten found the season start an obvious time to upgrade the sponsorship:
– Things are going well with the curtains and the business, and I love coming to the stadium and watching FC Helsingør, so it was an easy decision. I have a close relationship with the sporting management, and we had been talking about upgrading the engagement for a long time.
I live in Espergærde myself, and we have a shop in Helsingør, so for me it is also about supporting locally and giving something back to a town and a club that I feel has given me so much. FC Helsingør also play really good football and have something very exciting going on. It is my hope that the support from us sponsors for the club can lead to us already competing for promotion during this season, and at any rate competing at the very top.
