Frederik Karlsen suffered a knee injury during the away match against Fremad Amager.
On Wednesday he underwent a scan, which unfortunately showed a partially torn ligament. This means that he will be out for the next 2-3 months.
The ligament must be allowed to heal on its own, and it is therefore difficult to say at this point when he will be back.
Follow-up scans will show whether the healing is going according to plan and whether he will be ready to return to action.
Karlsen was brought in from FC Nordsjælland’s youth team back in January and has a contract with FC Helsingør that expires in the summer. It has been made to two appearances in the blue-and-white shirt.
