The midfield general has chosen to swap Zealand for Jutland when his contract with FC Helsingør expires after this season.

Frederik Juul is soon finishing his fifth full season in the Helsingør shirt, where in his first season he helped FC Helsingør get promoted from 2. Division to the NordicBet Liga, and two seasons later he was instrumental for the team, even though promotion to the Superliga slipped away in the promotion playoffs.

“It has been an intense and great time with both ups and downs. I have grown incredibly much as a player and as a person during my time here in Helsingør, and it has without a doubt been an exciting and educational journey,” says Frederik Juul.

Frederik Juul had to watch from the sidelines at the end of last season, as he suffered a severe injury that ended up keeping him off the pitch for over a year. Only when this season’s playoffs kicked off was he able to run onto the pitch to the sound of cheers at Helsingør Stadium.

“It has been the hardest year of my career. There has been a lot of rehabilitation, but I am incredibly proud to have come back. It was the best feeling to be able to run onto the pitch again and feel our fans. It is definitely something I will miss, of course together with my teammates, whom I have been close to for many years now.”

Now the time in Helsingør is drawing to a close, and although it will be sad to say goodbye, the future is also exciting for Frederik Juul, who will therefore continue to play in the NordicBet Liga next season.

“I have had some good talks with Horsens and their new coach and sporting director. It is a good opportunity, and I look forward to new challenges and an exciting project,” he adds.

Frederik Juul has signed a two-year contract with AC Horsens.
