After more than 5 years at the club, Frederik Bay has chosen to leave the club in favor of HB Køge, where he has just signed a contract. Bay came to the club all the way back in 2017, where he was loaned for half a year, after which a contract was signed on 1 July 2017. Frederik Bay has been a contracted player at the club for 5 years, but now it is over.
– I find it hard to put into words my time in Helsingør without getting a little emotional – our fans have been world-class whether we played in the Superliga or 2 division, they are always behind us!!
And of course thanks to the entire coaching staff for a wonderful time at the club. I am very grateful for the time I have had at the club. I wish Helsingør all the best in the future and we will see each other again very soon, says Frederik Bay
The now 24-year-old Bay came to the club as a 19-year-old from FC Copenhagen, where he played a large part of his youth years.
– Frederik Bay is a skilled player who needs more playing time in order to develop even more and he has been given the opportunity for that at HB Køge. Bay has been a really good team player and supported the team even though he has not had much playing time in the recent period. I wish Bay all the best and hope he gets his career kickstarted at HB Køge, says head coach Morten Eskesen.
Frederik Bay has been there every step of the way and has taken the journey up to the Superliga and the descent to 2 division, and then played the team back into 1 division. Bay has played 128 matches for the club in both the Superliga, 1 division and 2 division and has scored 6 goals for the club.
We wish Frederik Bay good luck at HB Køge.
