It was FC Helsingør who from the start put pressure on the visitors from Vanløse. This led to a couple of half-chances for Nicolas Mortensen within the first five minutes, but Mortensen was well contained by Vanløse's center-backs.
Just before the ten-minute mark, however, Nicoals Mortensen managed to break free a little on the left side of the box, from where he sent a fine shot toward goal. It had a touch too much on it, though, and went over the crossbar.
Two minutes later, Ricki Olsen had moved up on the right wing and sent a dangerous cross toward Mortensen in the box. Nicolas Mortensen jumped high, but was shut down by his direct opponent, so he couldn't get his header properly directed toward goal. But a fine chance.
FCH moved the ball really well around during this phase, and Vanløse did not get much of the ball. Shortly after Mortensen's header it was Haren's turn to break through on the right wing, and he sent a low, hard cross toward a completely free Jeppe Kjær in front of goal. But at the last moment a Vanløse defender cut across and saved the day.
After 16 minutes, Vanløse got up to Helsingør's end of the pitch for the first time. A fine surge led to a corner, but at the far post the dangerous Castelijns was well marked and did not get to the ball.
Two minutes later it was no longer possible for Vanløse. Anders Holst whipped the ball into the box in a scramble, and a Vanløse defender had his hand too far away from his body. For the second match in a row FC Helsingør was awarded a penalty. Holst took the kick himself and placed it unstoppably into the net past Vanløse keeper Krogh.
1-0 FC Helsingør
After 21 minutes it was also 2-0. Jeppe Kjær pressed in the box, and keeper Krogh came out and tried to win the ball at the edge of the six-yard box. He failed to control the ball, which suddenly fell to Nicolas Mortensen's feet, and he poked it in high and hard.
2-0 FC Helsingør
This was followed by a period in which FC Helsingør sat a little deeper and looked to strike again. Vanløse had great difficulty winning the ball on the fast surface, and there were scattered signs of chances for both Kjær and Mortensen, without it becoming truly dangerous in this phase.
Lucas Haren repeatedly showed his enormous speed, and after 32 minutes he once again got past his man on the right side. Haren cut into the box along the byline and tried to pull it low across goal, but Vanløse cleared it over the line. From the ensuing corner, it was close to Nicoals Mortensen getting on the end of it, but Vanløse were alert to the danger and shut Mortensen down in aerial play for most of the first half.
Vanløse tried to spoil FC Helsingør's build-up with more physical play, which earned them three yellow cards in the first half, but FCH were content to absorb it and look for the counterattacks. A couple of minutes before the break it was close to paying off, when Anders Holst found Jeppe Kjær with a good through ball up the pitch, where Kjær got between two Vanløse players, but unfortunately for Kjær he had just been marginally on the wrong side of the offside line. Well spotted by Holst.
Nothing more happened in the half, and FCH could go into the break with a comfortable lead in both goals and possession.
The second half began with a big chance for FC Helsingør. A superb cross from Holst from the left side whipped low into the box, where it was centimeters away from Jeppe Kjær getting a toe to it, but unfortunately for Kjær he didn't quite reach it, and the ball went past him. A very big chance.
A couple of minutes into the half, Vanløse were awarded a free kick ten meters outside the box on the left side. Dominicussen delivered a cross high into the area, but in front the FCH defense were alert and got the ball cleared out of the box.
But already five minutes into the half, FCH managed to extend the lead. Nicolas Mortensen received a long ball up toward him from Ricki Olsen, took it in one movement past two defenders, and calmly placed it into the far corner under goalkeeper Krogh, who flailed in vain. Excellent action by Nicolas Mortensen.
3-0 FC Helsingør
Two minutes later Vanløse were close to pulling one back. A corner was played to the far post, where a Vanløse player got his foot on it. The ball hit the post, came back into play, and again a Vanløse player got to it, but Christoffer Petersen in goal produced a handball save and tipped the ball away. A little too big a chance for Vanløse, but well handled by Petersen.
After 56 minutes, Mortensen got on the scoresheet again. Ricki Olsen made a good run with the ball up the right side and delivered a sharp cross into the box. There Mortensen was ready and could score one of the easiest goals of his career, completing his hat-trick.
4-0 FC Helsingør
After an hour of play Jonas Henriksen made a comeback for FCH, as he replaced Nicolaj Hansen in defense, and a minute later Eli Just came on instead of Lucas Haren.
After 67 minutes, Vanløse managed to reduce the deficit. According to the referee, Ricki Olsen handled the ball, even though it seemed to be completely against his body. Nevertheless, a penalty was awarded. Højbye placed the ball and confidently sent it the other way from Christoffer Petersen.
4-1 Vanløse
After 71 minutes, Vanløse reduced it further. Højbye received the ball in a fairly harmless position some distance outside the box, but struck it with conviction, and it flew in behind Petersen. A somewhat unnecessary goal to concede, but well finished by Højbye
4-2 Vanløse
Two minutes later FC Helsingør were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box. Frederik Bay set the ball up and curled a fine free kick toward the right side of goal. But this time FCH did not outfox Krogh, who got all the way to the post and tipped the ball wide. Good effort from Bay.
75 minutes on the clock. Jeppe Kjær received a ball in behind, and this time he got past his man. Alone with a single defender he dribbled past him cheekily, cut across goal and calmly slotted it in.
5-2 FC Helsingør
Three minutes later Carl Lange replaced Anders Holst, as Lange came on for his first match after a longer injury break. Immediately after, Jeppe Kjær beat his marker on the right side and drove toward goal. In a two-on-one situation, he played it across to Nicolas Mortensen, who did not get his shot away in time and was tackled from behind by a Vanløse player. Huge chance for FC Helsingør
Shortly after, Lange made his first contribution. With a couple of clever feints he went past his man on the left side and into the box. At the byline he fired a hard shot/cross, but Krogh was alert and claimed it. A minute later he got past again and sent it low into the box, where Mortensen was close to getting his fourth goal. Unfortunately, Mortensen did not quite control the ball, and the chance came to nothing.
But five minutes from time Kjær got his second goal. He won the ball himself from an opponent in front of the box, nudged it aside and simply ran away from his marker across the edge of the box. Goalkeeper Krogh tried to come out, but Kjær coolly lobbed the ball over him and into the net. Superb action by the little speedster.
6-2 FC Helsingør
Additional entertainment could hardly be asked for, and the referee had not added much time. FC Helsingør continued their unbeaten run in the division, and the fantastic start at the new stadium.
