FC Helsingør traveled today to Sundby Idrætspark, where Fremad Amager stood ready to welcome a well-playing Helsingør team.
The first half saw the FCH team under pressure, but that obstacle was not a problem, as it took seven minutes before Mikkel Knudsen put the ball in to Sebastian Czajkowski, who made a fine touch to his right foot, and he did not disappoint as he sent a low shot past the Fremad Amager goalkeeper and into the far corner of the net. 0-1 to FC Helsingør.
The FCH team maintained their momentum after the restart. Sebastian Czajkowski can intercept the ball and send it on to Tonni Adamsen, who finds a free Elijah Just in the box who can head the ball into the goal. 0-2 to FC Helsingør after 9 minutes played.
The Helsingør team showed a clear difference in level against Fremad Amager. The home team did, however, enter a good period. With a high press, the FCH team sat back in their own half, and it was Fremad Amager who could create chances to reduce the deficit before the break. They delivered dangerous corners and good shooting opportunities, but the experienced goalkeeper Kevin Stuhr Ellegaard did not let anything get past him, and when the ball finally did go through, teammate Sebastian Czajkowski was ready at the back post, who could head the ball away after a fine direct corner that was heading toward a reduction for the home team.
FC Helsingør were able to withstand the pressure and turn the game back in their favor. 5 minutes before the break, Mikkel Knudsen receives a good ball into the box and sends a thunderous shot into the near corner of the goal. 0-3 to FC Helsingør.
In the second half it was FC Helsingør who could use the wind to their advantage, and Tonni Adamsen took advantage of that when Fremad Amager goalkeeper Jacob Larsen ran out of the box to kick the ball upfield. The wind gave a helping hand by slowing the ball down, and it landed at Adamsen, who took a touch and fired a beautiful ball from the center circle into the goal where Jacob Larsen could not get his fingers to the ball. 0-4 to FC Helsingør.
Fremad Amager were eventually able to fight their way to a reduction, as Jakob Johansson comes close to goal and can kick the ball past the experienced goalkeeper. 1-4 goal for Fremad Amager.
