On Wednesday evening, FC Helsingør’s U19 team played their way into the youth cup final with a 1-0 victory over Roskilde Boldklub.
More than 200 fans had turned up at Helsingør Stadium to cheer the boys on to the final. The team had previously defeated Roskilde twice in league play and were also slight favorites on paper. But as is the case with all knockout matches, anything can happen over 90 minutes, and the boys certainly lived up to expectations!
A fine team effort was rewarded, and now FC Nordsjælland awaits in the cup final. FC Nordsjælland is known for their strong academy, so FC Helsingør’s young talents face a major challenge when they play for this season’s youth cup.
The final will take place on Wednesday, 15 May 2024 at 18:30 at Tingbjerg IP, Opvisningsbane.
We look forward to following the boys and hopefully seeing them lift the trophy later in the month!
Thank you to all the fans who showed up at Helsingør Stadium.
