During the match against Silkeborg on Friday evening, there was unrest outside Helsingør Stadium, as fans from FC Helsingør were apparently about to come to blows with a small group of peaceful Silkeborg fans who had taken up position outside the fence.

FC Helsingør would like to emphasize that, as a club, we strongly distance ourselves from any form of violence or aggression toward other fan groups, both at the Stadium and outside it. It must be safe to go to football in Denmark, and FC Helsingør works together with the local police to ensure a good experience for all visitors at matches in Helsingør. Fortunately, we have a skilled stewarding corps and a skilled local police force, and we are pleased that, at the very least, no one was injured in yesterday’s match.

We are working together with Helsingør Municipality to find a solution so that people cannot gather outside the fence and watch from there during the matches. We want all spectators inside the Stadium, where we can much better ensure the safety of the fan groups.

Finally, we would like to emphasize that if the police identify any FCH fans exhibiting violent and aggressive behavior in connection with football matches, they will be handed a ban from FC Helsingør’s matches with immediate effect.
