FC Helsingør were in Hvidovre on Monday evening in 31. round of the NordicBet Liga promotion playoff.

FC Helsingør’s approach to the first 45 minutes was very cautious. They had a good wind against them, so they played a lot along the ground and a lot across the pitch. It was quite different from the pressing football that has been seen earlier in the season for FC Helsingør.

Hvidovre took the victory, which was created in a good 1. half, where Christoffer Boateng scored twice – the same as he did in the match in Helsingør earlier in the promotion playoff.

The first goal came already after 8 minutes of play, when a fine pass from Tobias Thomsen through FC Helsingør’s defence sent Boateng clean through. He put the ball high to the right of Sebastian Mielitz, who had no chance to save the shot.

After half an hour of play, it was again Boateng who took the chance from outside the box. And with his left foot he struck it flat and hard, and the ball went in tight against the post. 2-0 to Hvidovre and that score held until the break. There was not much that worked for FC Helsingør and therefore there were not really any chances in the 1. half.

From the start of the 2. half, FC Helsingør tried a triple substitution. Jacob Schoop, Kristoffer Munksgaard and Oliver Drost came off. In their place came Daniel Norouzi, Alexander Lyng and Carl Lange. Something had to happen in the 2. half, but it did not help much. In the final part of the match FC Helsingør came close a couple of times, created by individual performances. Tonni Adamsen came close a couple of times, but the goals never came. The match therefore ends with a 2-0 victory for Hvidovre.. DIVISION, PROMOTION PLAYOFF
