The first training match after the winter break ended 2-2, when FC Helsnigør met Fremad Amager from Nordicbet Ligaen on Saturday afternoon. Fremad Amager took the lead by two goals in the first half, but in the second half FCH fought back and scored two goals, first by Lucas Haren, and the last by U-player Anosike “Ano” Ementa.

Head coach Morten Eskesen was fairly satisfied with the outcome of the training match:
– I think it was a fine match, where we got to see some of the things from the players that I emphasize at this point in the preseason. Fremad Amager had two chances in the first half, both of which they scored on, and then it is exciting to see whether you get the right attitude and mindset from the players. Fortunately, we did today. There was good intensity, and we had most of the possession in the second half, where we fought our way back into the match. We got all the players in the squad into the game, as we substituted most of the players at half-time, and the only downside was that Eli Just had to go off with an injury. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem to be serious, but we have to follow up on that on Monday.

All in all, I think it was fine, and a good experience for us.
