Midfielder Casper Sloth has trained with FCH over the last few weeks and has made a very good impression on the coaching staff. Therefore, the club has chosen to offer Sloth a contract until the turn of the year.
Sporting director Brian Gellert
During the time Casper has trained with us, we have had confirmed that he in no way had lost his joy for the game or his touch. So the plan is that together we can get him back to the level we know he has. What Casper has shown so far has been top, top class.
– Casper and we have agreed to make a deal until the winter, and then we will evaluate together afterwards. But the plan is that we can build on what we have seen so far, and that Casper should be a player we can get great enjoyment from in the future.
Casper Sloth:
– I have been training with Helsingør for the last almost two weeks, and I think it is a really good group that is up here, with some really good people. I know I'm coming in a bit “in the middle of everything,” but physically I am in good shape. I was part of a full preseason in England, including training matches etc., so the fitness is where it should be. It is clear that the only way I can get into match shape is by playing matches, so I hope that happens soon. I am hungry to play football, and to get fully up to speed again, and I think the club and I seem like a good match. Now we have found a solution until New Year and then we will see after that. Until then we can get to know each other a little better, and I think that works well for both parties.
28-year-old Casper Sloth has played more than 140 Superliga matches for Agf, AaB and Silkeborg. He has also played for Leeds United, Motherwell and Notts County.
